Estrogen, exercise and imbalance: Update

It has been close to one and a half months since I first wrote about estrogen detoxification. Since then I have finished the whole bottle of Source Naturals' DIM (2 months of 2 x 100mg tablets a day), taking them together with Natrol's Calcium D-Glucarate (2 months of 2 x 250mg tablets a day). After one month, I noted that: "my hips went down in size - I could tell from clothing, there was much much less fluid retention, cravings were a little less severe, and my mood was more stable."

After two months on DIM and Calcium D-Glucarate, I am delighted to report that a noticeable amount of fat from my hips and thighs have been lost, there continues to be less fluid retention especially in the follicular phase, and cravings continue to be less severe and mood more stable in the final week of the follicular phase.

Does it mean that my body was packed with excess estrogen even though I was eating Paleo, exercising regularly and rarely had contact with PVC? I do not know, but I sure am liking these results. (Caveat: During the 6th week I stopped experimenting with Jade Teta's workout recommendations and began using Lyle McDonald's SFP2.0 protocol 2x a week instead, so that may have contributed to some of the changes.)

Going forward

For a week now I have been on Now Foods' Indole-3-Carbinol, together with the Calcium D-Glucarate. I have not noticed any significant changes yet, but it is too soon to tell. When the month's worth of Indole-3-Carbinol finishes, I will post another update.
